Welcome to the Global Content Institute (GCI) at Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia and Film.

GCI is an international graduate programme committed to developing creative, research-driven, and industry-ready leaders who will shape the future of the global content ecosystem.

Academic Programmes
GCI offers a diverse array of master’s and doctoral degrees aligned with the global content industry.

Master’s and postgraduate programmes include:

· Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film & OTT Series

· MFA in Game/VFX & Animation

· MFA in Media Art

· MA in Content Development & Producing

· MA in Content Study & Theory

·MS in AI & Metaverse Technology

Doctoral programmes are possible in each major. 

· Doctoral Degree in Film & Media

· Doctoral Degree in Animation

· Doctoral Degree in Cultural Content Studies

· Doctoral Degree in Interactive Media

· Doctoral Degree in New Media

· Doctoral Degree in Game Studies

· Doctoral Degree in Entertainment and Cultural Industries

Programme Structure
The programme consists of two foundation semesters followed by three advanced semesters.

Foundation coursework focuses on required subjects and artificial intelligence, with a limited number of elective courses offered each fall and spring.
Foundation courses are Korean Culture and Cinema, AI Imaging, Ideation and Development, and AI Content.

After the foundation stage, students complete two semesters of major concentration elective courses tailored to their ed major.

Course Load
Students take three courses per semester.

Academic Progression
After completing the two foundation semesters, students proceed into two semesters of major concentration.
The final semester consists of a six-credit capstone requirement titled Thesis and Project.

Graduation Requirements
The full programme spans five semesters. A thesis summary must be submitted as a graduation requirement.
